Lessons

Lessons for those over 5 years of age are held in the school pool, whilst children under 5 years of age are catered for in our fully-enclosed, heated mobile pool.

Our different class levels are as follows:

PRESCHOOL LESSONS

Preschool lessons include children aged two to five years. Each lesson is 20 minutes with a tiny ratio of 1 teacher to 3 students. The ability of children that attend these classes can range from scared of the water to strong little swimmers learning better technique. We recommend goggles for all swimmers and swimming caps for swimmers with long hair.

SCHOOL AGE LESSONS

School Age lessons include swimmers aged five to ten years of age. Each lesson is 25 minutes with a tiny ratio of 1 teacher to 5 students. The ability of children that attend these classes can range from scared of the water to strong little swimmers learning better technique. All swimmers must wear goggles and we recommend swimming caps for swimmers with long hair.

SQUAD LESSONS

Squad lessons start when a child can swim 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke and 25m Breaststroke with correct technique.. All swimmers must wear goggles and have fins, we recommend swimming caps for swimmers with long hair.

SPECIAL NEEDS LESSONS

Special Needs lessons are available for all ages. The pool used for lessons varies as per the requirements of the person having the lessons. Each lesson is 20 minutes with a tiny ratio of 1 teacher per student. The ability of the swimmers that attend these classes can range from scared of the water to strong swimmers learning a new technique. Ideally, all swimmers would wear goggles, and we recommend swimming caps for swimmers with long hair and fins depending on the disability.

ADULT LESSONS

Adult lessons are for those persons learning to swim aged 13 years and over. Each lesson is 25 minutes with a tiny ratio of 1 teacher per 5 students. The ability of the adults that attend these classes can range from scared of the water to strong swimmers learning better technique. All swimmers must wear goggles and we recommend swimming caps for swimmers with long hair.
